Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using OctoBird ("the Service"), including the web application at https://www.octobird.app/ and the Chrome extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

OctoBird is a personal job application tracking tool that allows you to save job postings, track application status, manage interview schedules, and organize your job search. The Service is provided as-is for personal use.

Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use automated means to access or scrape the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload or transmit malicious code or content

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service (job postings, notes, snippets, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

Chrome Extension

The Chrome extension is a tool to assist your personal job search. It captures webpage content only when you explicitly activate it. You agree to use it only on pages you have the right to access, and not to use it to collect or store information about third parties without their consent.

Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We are not liable for any disruption or loss of data resulting from downtime.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OctoBird shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of job opportunities, or any other damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
